As we have come to learn, anti-Semitism is far more complicated. Its roots are so deep, the purposes it fulfills are so important, that generating a charged condition of the Jews through a state of their own not only did not end anti-Semitism but provided new expressions of it. Anti-Zionism as anti-Semitism is a variation that Herzl did not consider. If Herzl would have been surprised about the enduring quality of anti-Semitism long after his Jewish State came into being, one can’t even begin to wonder what he would have thought about the latest phenomenon; anti-Semitism within the State of Israel. Even those who questioned his assumptions that anti-Semitism would disappear in the world after the Zionist dream were fulfilled, would at least have conceded that Israel itself would be a haven from this disease.
Nobody ever mentions how antisemitism is a most interesting “disease.” For one, it’s the only disease where we don’t blame the cause, but instead we blame the “sufferer.” On the other hand, alcoholism, sex-addition, and addition to gambling are said to be diseases that require our sympathy, for the sufferer is not morally responsible.
Now, however, we read stories of neo-Nazi gangs roaming the streets of Israeli cities, of synagogues being vandalized and of swastikas being drawn on religious sites. It could be Kiev, Paris or Berlin, but it’s not. It’s Tel Aviv.
. . . It shows once again (we’ve seen this phenomenon in countries like Japan, which doesn’t have a history of anti-Semitism), that deeply-entrenched attitudes of anti-Semitism that plagued the Western world can be transformed easily to the most unlikely settings.
. . . and they never once consider that Jewish behavior is the cause!
So what to do about it? I can tell you what we do in the US . . .
We have far-reaching education programs in the schools, for pre-school kids through high school and on the college campus, providing anti-bias training and teaching about the virtues of diversity.
Another point that’s often passed over by folks is the open admission by hostile aliens like Foxman here that Jews use the appeal to tolerance merely to protect themselves and cover for their own bad behavior. “Tolerance” is always sold as universalism, but in reality, it’s a smoke-screen used by Jews to quell resistance to their remaking of American society in their own corrupt image. Thanks for the admission, Abe, we’ll add it to your rap sheet.
We work with law enforcement throughout the country to help them identify extremist groups and hate crimes and how to deal with these threats to society and to Jews in particular.
Does anyone else see a problem with an anti-American hate-group telling the police who the bad guys are?
