the author of this piece’s last name is Montefiore, which is a name associated with the Rothschilds way back to the founder. Abraham Montefiore, I believe, was one of the main business partners of Amschel going way back. Likely this Simon Sebag Montefiore who is able to “send a memo” to Jacob Rothschild, are maintaining this long relationship.
